Barcus-Berry BBE Sonic/Maximizer 442 Reviews 5

Long time ago, cannot remember the exact price.....around $200.00. This unit is great when used on a guitar/bass rig. It also works great between your cd player and speakers. I even run my DVD Player through the thing.

It's great , you'd think you have quality sound in your system until you hook this pup up and you find out that in essence your pulling pillows away from your speakers ! Must be heard to be believed! The Aphex Aural Exciter synthesizes Harmonics, whereas this unit works on "phase" correction. It does have some EQ built in to it, but nonetheless a unique product. I even hooked it up to my DVD player and it is a real, tangilbe difference!

Nothing really, it does have some EQ Built in I believe. They also have a unit for car stereos.

good build quality, I had one unit which developed a "crack" in the circuit board, but this was after years. The repair was about 30.00 at the time.

All around good product ! BBE Maximizer did a good job building and researching a real solution for a very, very real need. I cannot believe that people (guitatists) all of us own one. The only reason I can think of is that they have never heard this baby before. Once you hook this up to your CD/DVD player, there's no going back. You won't do without this unit once you've heard the magic inside this thing. It does indeed "unleash" all the sound you've never heard, no matter what your system cost you!
